Chaya

Our adopted dog meat trade rescue

Our adopted girl ( Thai Bangkaew Dog ), now named Chaya, meaning'' Life (Force), was rescued from Thailand's illegal Dog Meat Trade on May 19th, 2012. It is thanks to Chaya that my soul breed found me. I had never heard of the breed before, and we didn't know at the time that it was a Thai breed still in development. Sadly, saving every dog in the world is impossible, so I decided to do something for the breed instead and work on their development in her honour. The rest is history. Chaya had a wonderful life after her horrific traumatic experiences and was a special dog in our lives. She was loved very much by everyone that met her.

Our Foundation stud

I hadn't intended to buy a male, but with a lack of males available in Europe, I started searching for one and placed myself on the waiting list for a combination I liked. My dear boy, Graffiti, born in October 2013, is a son of BISS/Thai Ch. Chiangmai's TBK's Funnoi, his dam is the sibling to the famous MBIS/MBISS/EUW'13/Tripple WW & First Thai Grand Ch. Mitrapab Hero. Graffiti also stayed in Thailand with my handler and a dearly trusted friend, Sagulchai Thanadka, to complete his Thai Ch title. He made me proud by winning Best In Show Specialty Baby. Graffiti has only sired three litters in his lifetime, the first Bangkaew litter born in the Czech Republic and two out of Star; sadly, Graffiti died in 2021 after a tragedy he never fully recovered. Thankfully, he left his legacy in his kids and grandkids, keeping the flag flying, passing on his super true Bangkaew character, winning World Winner titles and multiple Champions in the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic, France and the UK. Thank you, dear Graffiti, for being in our lives—you are one of those special, once-in-a-lifetime dogs.
